Connected duplicate finder
Google Drive Duplicate File Finder
Find exact duplicate files in Google Drive with a read-only metadata scan and review every matching copy.
A real read-only Google Drive scan
Google handles authorization. ClearCopies requests drive.metadata.readonly access and compares exact byte size with SHA-256, SHA-1 or MD5 checksums returned by Google Drive. File contents are not downloaded during duplicate discovery.
Public access coming soon
Google OAuth verification is in progress. The integration opens publicly after approval.
No cleanup happens during the first connection or scan.

Tested against Google Drive API behavior
The integration tests read Drive quota, reconstruct nested paths, retain sharing context, and normalize the strongest available SHA-256, SHA-1, or MD5 checksum. The first OAuth request is verified as read-only.

Google-native Workspace files do not always expose comparable binary evidence; the tested workflow leaves those items outside exact groups instead of inflating recoverable storage.

Frequently asked questions
Before you use this tool
Is the Google Drive Duplicate Finder free to use?
The Google Drive integration is complete, but public connections open only after Google OAuth verification is approved.
How accurate is the Google Drive Duplicate Finder?
ClearCopies requires matching byte size and matching SHA-256, SHA-1 or MD5 checksums values returned by Google Drive for an exact group. Same-name or same-size files alone are not presented as safe removal candidates.
Can this tool delete or change my Google Drive files?
No public Google authorization starts from this page while OAuth verification is pending.
What should I do after using the Google Drive Duplicate Finder?
Review which copy to retain in every exact group. Google Workspace-native files and some items may not expose a content checksum, so they cannot enter an exact fingerprint group.
